screwing physics
physics is well known for its complex theories and formula.
okay m gonna give u the easiest formulas which are goin to work even in IIT level examination.
these are the best notes for JEE ADVANCE.
starting with basic concepts:-
Class 11:-
Units
we humans have to measure things around us.Indeed we are smart enough to use various units instead of using terms like "more,less,big,bigger,bla-bla" these terms create confusion and accuracy is murdered.
so we use units.Here we gonna talk about only physical units only.So we have seven fundamental units
metre,kilogram,second,ampere,kelvin,mole,candela.
every physical quantity can be expressed with help of these units.
EXAMPLE:-
velocity=displacement/time=m/s
acceleration=change in velocity/time taken=m/s2
force=mass*acceleration=kg*m/s2
charge=current*time=amp*s
Dimension
it simply means that representation of any quantity in fundamental units is unique.
no matter how you are going to calculate distance it is always going to be in unit of length.
Hence we can use this knowledge to ensure the derived results.
EXAMPLE:-
energy=1/2mv2=mgh=qV=kgm2/s2
NOTE:
only quantities having same dimensions could be added.
however in case of multiplication there is no such rule.
powers in case of exponential forms are always constant.
ERRORS
Significant figures:this term and concept is used to determine the level of accuracy in expressions.
so its ur choice either mugup those rulesor just use the logic. If I write 3.50m it means am sure about my measurement upto .01 m hence significant figures which am sure about my measurement is 3.
if I write 3.5m it simply. means my accuracy level is upto .1 m only hence 2 significant figures.
(*)In multiplication final results must be reported in as many significant figures as there in the original number with leasr significant figures
(*) In addition final result must retain as many decimal places as there are in original number with least decimal places.
Errors
accuracy could never be 100%. there are errors in every measurement.
absolute error is mean of all individual errors
relative error is ratio of error with respect to orinal magnitude.
percentage errors is % form of relative errors
we add' errors in case we are adding 2 quanties
we add relative errors while multiplying two quantities
relative error is multiplied to k in case exponential form where k is the power
I hope u find it easy to understand these logics and are not bored although I tried to evade the crap as fas as possible.
